Report on Nistha at Block Level


NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads & Teachers’ Holistic Advancement) is a capacity building programme for “Improving Quality of School Education through Integrated Teacher Training”. It is a centrally sponsored scheme of Samagra Shiksha launched in 2019-20.
As per the requirement of the scheme, NISHTHA training was organized in Charaideo District (Sonari Block) at various phases. I, Mrs. Upasana Saikia was assigned as the State Resource Person (SRP) of the Sonari Block and there were four other esteemed Key Resource Person (KRP) that accompanied me in conducting the training. The training programme of Sonari Block was conducted in 5 phases which are-

  1. 1st Phase: 3rd December- 9th December, 2019.
  2. 2nd Phase: 17th December- 23rd December, 2019.
  3. 3rd Phase: 24th December- 31st December, 2019.
  4. 4th Phase: 6th January-11th January, 2020.
  5. 5th Phase: 20th January- 27th January, 2020.

The venue for the programme was in Bhojo High School, Bhojo. In each phase a total of 150 teachers were provided training namely on contents such as School Leadership, Inclusive Education, Pre- School Education, Pre- Vocational Education, Initiatives in School Education, Art Integrated Learning, School Based Assessment, Health and well-being in Schools etc.
